Philly Area Truman Scholars

The following people from the Philadelphia area have been named Truman Fellows by the Truman National Security Project:

[Blogger's note: The initial press release listed another Truman Scholar in the Philadelphia group. This was an error and so that information has been removed.]

Gwen is the in-state representative for Senator Bob Casey, Jr. She previously worked on the Obama presidential campaign, on Capitol Hill, and for Children's International Summer Villages in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Jason Conn (Philadelphia)
Jason is currently a litigator in Philadelphia. He received his law degree from the University of Michigan. He previously interned in the White House, on Capitol Hill, and in the U.S. Attorney's Organized Crime Strikeforce Division.

Christy currently serves as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for New Castle County, Delaware. Previously, she has worked with the New York City Law Department, the Center for American Women and Politics, and as a corporate lawyer, and she has a significant work history in local politics in New Jersey.

She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology from Temple University, where she has also taught undergraduate courses on the history of psychology.

Sayeed Rahman (Philadelphia)

He has worked with the Department of Health and Human Services, VA Medical Center in Los Angeles, Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, and is currently a physician at Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

According to the organization website:
The Truman Security Fellowship is a highly competitive award for professionals who show early promise to become our country's future progressive leadership. The one-year Fellowship offers unique hands-on training in national security, access to a powerful network of peers and leaders across the country, and assistance with obtaining positions of national security leadership around the country.

Trivedi is running for congress in the 6th congressional district. Paul Lang ran for state senate in 2006 and is possibly my favorite candidate of all time.

The information about some of the fellows is completely inaccurate. Who can I contact to correct this?

Christopher,

There is a "contact" button on the Truman Project page (linked in blog post) -- that would be the place to start.
