"Our Part" on C-SPAN

Holy cow!!! Joe from NY writes in to tell me Chris Satullo's article on the "our part of the bargain" posts was discussed on the Washington Journal this weekend. Sure enough, Sunday, July 2nd's broadcast starts out with a reading of the column and callers response.

The link to Chris's column and to the "our part" posts from this and other blogs are linked from here.

I heard the broadcast on Sunday on C-Span's radio broadcast. The narrator spoke about you in very "above average" terms. Congrats.

I might add that Washington Journal is my favorite of all programs, so now I'm extremely jealous.

Bernie,

Next time anyone does a regional blogswarm on a civic topic I'll make sure to let you know. Maybe lightning will strike twice. ;)

I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw/heard the Washington Journal broadcast. Yowza! My 15 minutes of fame, come and gone. I do wish the host had noted that not all the quotes in the editorial column were mine, some were from other participating bloggers, who did not get the credit they should have.

Satullo is really interested in civics. His "citizen voices '99" project, in which I participated, that helped form a framework for that year's mayoral elections was outstanding.

PhillyDem,

You are everywhere!! I enjoy your comments on this and other blogs, when are you taking the plunge and starting your own?

It goes to show that blogs are really becoming players in the political discussion. For all the attention paid to Yearly Kos and the rest of the "A list" blogs the real action is going on in the state and local sites. Good job Jane!

Thanks, Jane, for the nice compliment. I'm very happy over at KP so I don't see a need to start my own blog.
